Large Fair Trade Upcycled Andean Woven Bag
From Fleece to Fashion, our Andean Woven Pouches are the perfect accessory for the Sustainably Minded Gnomie! Each direct sourced pouch is handcrafted from a one-of-a-kind upcycled vintage handmade texile by a Artsian Woman in the Cuzco Region of Peru! Originally crafted from farm raised sheep and their hand shorn and hand spun wool that’s then naturally dyed from wildcrafted plants, this pouch is giving new life to an old masterpiece. This is an illustrious example of Slow & Fair Fashion at its finest!
Sourced at well above Fair Trade minimums directly from all women owned cooperatives of the Cuzco region, each pouch is a testament to what Regenerative Economics can look like! By purchasing a pouch, we TOGETHER are supporting our Cusquenian regional producers by purchasing raw and processed wool and wool treasures that are all handmade in the region in order to keep our community strong. This support truly empowers and reinvigors local farmers and artisans alike to follow their simple magical ways of life and make above living wages doing that!
Each pouch is unique and one-of-a-kind! There are no exact copies and no doubles, and there never will be! Various pieces of old textiles are used for each bag and once that textile is totally repurposed, it’s no longer available!
Every pouch is lined with a polyester lining to protect the integrity of the unique outer weave and closed with a zipper for secure storage!
